A deeper crimson purple, and definitely a greater weight of fruit on the nose. A burst of fruit on the attack, going through to the back of the palate, a little orange rind note alongside the deep red berry fruit, good acidity, well managed tannins and persistent. Drink from 2026-2033. Tasted: December 2022.—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
Tasting note: A discreet application of wood sets off attractively layered aromas of plum, earth, floral nuances and subtle spice hints. There is lovely richness and punch to the well-detailed mineral-inflected flavors that possess a mouth coating and mildly austere finish that delivers excellent persistence. This is more powerful if less refined than the Fuées that also offers fine development potential. Outstanding.—Allen Meadows, Burghound
