A blend of arbanne, petit meslier and chardonnay that delivers a floral nose with a peachy edge as well as lemon and dried honey. The palate displays a smooth lime and lemon style with sorbet-like texture, some punchy arbanne acidity and then a neatly balanced finish. Drink now. James Suckling
The 2010 Brut Sablé Blanc des Blancs is bright and tightly wound, with lots of citrus, white flowers, slate and chalk notes that give the wine its sense of precision. Today, the 2010 is a bit austere and clenched, but it is certainly not short on personality. It will appeal most to readers who enjoy tense, crystalline Champagnes. The blend of white grapes (note the plural in Blanc des Blancs), along with the non-dosage style, works beautifully here. This is a striking Champagne from Aubry. The blend is 50% Chardonnay, 30% Petit Meslier, 15% Arbanne and 15% Pinot Blanc. Disgorged: January 2016. Antonio Galloni
