Packed full of mango, pineapple and dried apricots, with a good lime zest twist on the finish. Certified organic. The 2019 Bastor-Lamontagne is a super expressive wine. Candied orange peel, lightly honeyed notes and tropical accents come together in a medium-bodied Sauternes with an extra kick of depth that is quite welcome for this usually very light wine. Pale lemon colored, the 2019 Bastor-Lamontagne needs a little coaxing to reveal fragrant scents of peach blossoms, lemon curd, lime leaves and paraffin wax with nuances of marzipan, wild fungi and crushed rocks. The 2019 Château Bastor-Lamontagne offers a good kick of botrytis as well as honeyed peach, apricot, and brioche-like aromas and flavors.
