The 2019 Pinot Noir The Beaux Frères Vineyard is super expressive this vintage, with scents of brambly fruit, rose petals, forest floor, sweet balsamic and blood orange. The palate has a weightless quality, its silty tannins and bright acidity highlighting an array of earthy accents, and it finishes very long.—Erin Brooks, The Wine Advocate
Deep, shimmering magenta. Expansive red and blue fruit preserve scents show superb clarity and take on suggestions of pungent flowers, exotic spices and smoky minerality with air. Juicy and energetic on the palate, offering concentrated blueberry, black raspberry, five-spice powder and floral pastille flavors underscored by a vein of juicy acidity. The floral note repeats emphatically on a wonderfully long finish that features polished tannins and reverberating red fruit character. - Josh Reynolds, Vinous Media
A perfumed nose of cherry, wild strawberry, forest floor, dried flower, smoke and spice box. It’s medium-bodied with fine, creamy tannins and lively acidity. Round and balanced with a velvety texture. Layered with a long, savory finish. Unfiltered. Drink or hold. - James Suckling
Taut with tension, this slowly unwinds with complex cherry and guava flavors that are laced with notes of fresh tarragon and hints of river stone, building richness toward medium-grained tannins. Drink now through 2030. 2,355 cases made. - Tim Fish, Wine Spectator
Pale red in colour, and intensely fragrant, so gulpable, red cherry, redcurrant, grilled rosemary, followed by a del- icate smoke and cold ash that whisps out of the glass. Fresh, juicy and complex. One to share with friends over a relaxing supper. Made from vines in the estate’s original Willamette Valley vineyard, with just 3,500 cases made, with a tiny amount allocated for the international market through La Place. Bottled unfined and unflitered. - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux
Bright ruby colour. Sweet strawberry and red cherry on the nose with a hint of cherry cola. The palate is sappy in tannin and medium weight. Polished and rounded, full of red fruit with some sandy wood tannins on the finish, it is powerful to the end. (TP) - Jancis Robinson
