Very alluring, with dense but silky-textured layers of boysenberry, fig and blackberry fruit. As this moves toward the finish, extra briar, toasted wood spice and black licorice notes emerge, lending drive and greater definition, without overshadowing the pure fruit. Very well expressed nose with floral and fragrant fruit, and a nice lift from the Cabernet Franc. Refreshing, almost crunchy, summer fruits, refreshing acidity and fine tannins. This is a very elegant wine that has finesse. - Decanter panel
