The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Boudots has a clean and precise bouquet, quite intense with blackberry, crushed strawberry and crushed violet scents, the whole bunch component barely recognizable. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe core of black plum and blackcurrant fruit, a generous pinch of white pepper with a structured, quite dense finish suggesting that it will be a long-term proposition. This is a sublime offering from Benjamin Leroux. Neal Martin – The Wine Advocate
Tasting note: A deft application of wood sets off the overtly ripe, spicy and earthy aromas of cassis, black cherry and tea. The ripeness displayed by the nose is equally evident on the very rich, full-bodied and sappy big-bodied flavors that possess both good power and muscle while offering terrific complexity and persistence on the well-balanced if decidedly firm finale. Patience required. Sweet Spot - Outstanding -Allen Meadows - Burghound
