The 2021 Garnacha de Viña Bonita is pure Garnacha from a plot of very old vines planted in 1929 on very shallow and compact granite soils at 735 meters in altitude with north-facing exposure. It is always subtle and elegant. It fermented with 8% full clusters and indigenous yeasts in oak vats for over six weeks and matured in two well-seasoned 600-liter oak barrels. This has very low alcohol, 13%, lower than in other years, and the wine feels more delicate and fine-boned, floral and ethereal. The palate shows elegance and refinement, with the backbone of granite minerality that lifts it up. It has good freshness and balance that give it length. 1,500 bottles produced.
