Bernard Defaix Chablis Vaillons 1er Cru 2018 (750ML)

This comes mostly from the heart of Vaillons with some Séchet. Pale lemon again. Quite a subtle and discreet nose. A little bit of bacon too. There is a classical dry finish, but still a sweetness of fruit from the vintage. The wine lingers beautifully on the palate. Jasper Morris – Inside Burgundy

Note: about two-thirds from Vaillons proper with the remainder from Séchet
Tasting note: A smoky nose reflects notes of matchstick, citrus and floral nuances. There is better volume to the mouth coating and notably rich medium weight flavors that culminate in a notably dry and stony finish. This could use more depth but there is enough stuff and acid support to envision it developing with a few years of bottle age. Allen Meadows - Burghound
