Tasting note: A vaguely exotic character suffuses the aromas of dried yellow fruit, tidal pool and soft floral, petrol and oak whiffs. The vibrant and borderline delicate middle weight flavors possess a highly sophisticated mouth feel before concluding in a super-saline finish where notes of bitter lemon and wood surface. The 2017 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir bursts from the glass with scents of orchard fruit, citrus blossom and orange rind. On the palate, it's full-bodied, lavish and enveloping, with a satiny attack, a fleshy core and succulent acids, concluding with a saline finish. Clay in the vineyard evidently informs its gourmand, textural profile.
