The 2020 Volnay 1er Cru Les Brouillards is promising, mingling aromas of cherries, berries and plums with hints of rose petals, orange rind and spices. Super concentrated purple but bright at the rim. Weighty dark fruit with evident oak. This comes across with more than adequate freshness, some minerals showing through, very ripe dark red fruit, this should mature into a wine which retains its Volnay character. Very persistent.
