From a .5 hectare monopole:
Berthaut is the only one making wine from this small, half a hectare clos surrounded by a wall next to the Chateau de Gevrey, just below the Premier Cru Cazetiers. The vines average 40-60-year-old vines grown on soils of limestone and marl. Approximately 20% new oak.

  • Vine Age: Planted in 1929, 1941, 1985
  • Terroir: Below 1er Cru Les Cazetiers, deep limestone and marl
