From a .5 hectare monopole:
Berthaut is the only one making wine from this small, half a hectare clos surrounded by a wall next to the Chateau de Gevrey, just below the Premier Cru Cazetiers. The vines average 40-60-year-old vines grown on soils of limestone and marl. Approximately 20% new oak.

- Vinification: 50% whole cluster, mostly pump-overs with some punch-downs, indigenous yeast fermentation in concrete tanks. Aged for 12 months in barrel (20% new).
