The 2019 Branas Grand Poujeaux comes from a château that has been a strong performer within the Moulis-en-Médoc appelation in recent years. It was picked from 19 September to 18 October at 42hl/ha and matured in 60% new oak. It has a nuanced bouquet with blackberry, hints of dark chocolate and salted liquorice that gradually unfurls with aeration. The palate is as fresh as a daisy on the entry. Fine boned tannins here, very well judged acidity and it fans out wonderfully towards the delineated finish. What a great B.G.P! - Neal Martin
