Silky and perfumed; a very elegant wine with melted, supple tannins and a beautiful perfume that develops on the palate. Clair has nearly 1.6ha here in this very interesting village-level lieu-dit located up the slope from Bonnes-Mares. The vines are old - up to 90 years of age - and the fruit is very concentrated. The yield in 2020 was tiny - 16 hl/ha. Accordingly, they do little extraction, and there is less whole cluster (about 20%) and less new wood (also about 20%).--Charles Curtis MW, Decanter
