This is a very different wine because it has been vinified with 100% whole bunches, no sulphur and very light extraction. Glowing bright purple, a really heady nose, ripe, deep cherry. Much darker fruit in the mouth, lively enough to avoid chocolate, complex and interesting. Very good and not aggressive at the back. Tasted: November 2018. Jasper Morris – Inside Burgundy
Tasting note: Pungent aromas of earth, humus, forest floor and purple fruit lead to more voluminous and denser flavors that are quite generous if somewhat less refined, all wrapped in a rustic, youthfully austere and balanced finish. This should repay a few years of cellaring as it's fairly tightly wound today. Allen Meadows - Burghound
Camille Giroud’s 2017 Savigny-les-Beaune Aux Clous 1er Cru is pretty if a touch light. Floral and lifted notes grace this ethereal, attractive Burgundy. At present, I find the 2017 diffuse, which may partly be attributable to the 100% whole clusters. The 2017 is pretty but also a bit light. Antonio Galloni – Vinous Media
