92 Points James Suckling: Lots of espresso with plums, dark chocolate and blackberries peeking through in the background. This is full but with lots of juicy fruit going on and a marked tannin structure. Delicious now, but give it a couple of years.

88-90 Points Wine Advocate: The Château Carignan “Prima” 2014 has an attractive if almost Loire-like bouquet with green bell peppers infusing the black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with nicely interwoven new oak. Texturally smooth in the mouth my only quibble is that it is missing some personality and terroir expression on the finish. That aside, I can envisage enjoying this over the next 8 to 10 years. - Neal Martin
