Space limitations preclude including tasting notes. 2003 is a rich, sweet vintage of powerful, full-bodied wines that possess huge levels of glycerin, alcohol, and residual sugar. - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate
Loads of honey, maple syrup, dried apricot and spice. Full-bodied, medium-sweet, with a refined, spicy character. Pretty wine. Masses of botrytis. This is refined and long, a racy wine compared with the power and muscle of so many others. Beauty among the beasts. Best after 2012. 2,300 cases made. - Wine Spectator
Thick, rich, sweet, intense and filled with over ripe apricots, oranges, pineapple, nectarine, vanilla bean and a massive layer of honey. Not as bright or fresh as 2001, but the wine avoids being cloying. The sweet, tropical fruit, nut, candied orange and honey finish will put a smile on the face of any sweet wine lover. - JL, Wine Cellar Insider
TA 3.6 g/l (sulphuric), RS 162 g/l.
Rich, sweet honeyed orange marmalade aromas. Exotically spiced, highly spiced. Very sweet, even on the finish though the spice adds zest so that it is not cloying. Exotic, infinitely rich, dense and viscous. Enormous but still with such pure fruit on the very long finish. Extraordinary to retain freshness within such an intense wine. - Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson .com
This is a superb Climens with a vibrant honeyed, passion fruit nose with a scent of clotted cream (I noted creme fraiche in one of the lots last time.) Very good level of botrytised fruit with beautiful definition and poise. Finishing with a flourish of marmalade tinged fruit. Very long. A sumptuous Climens. - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate
