A silky red marked by wild cherry, raspberry and boysenberry flavors. Reveals floral and black pepper details as this builds to a lingering, expansive finish. Offers excellent balance and expression. Best from 2025 through 2040. 52 cases made, 20 cases imported.—Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator
The plot which has not been pulled out for replanting is just below Grèves. Dense purple centre with gentler rim, the bouquet is in dark fruit but has maintained balanced, not cooked. Perhaps a little sweetly ripe at the finish, but with amazing intensity for this terroir and will need a lot more elevage. Just two barrels. Tasted: October 2021.—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
Tasting note: Markedly ripe yet exuberantly fresh aromas include those of poached plum, black raspberry liqueur and warm earth hints. The sleek, delicious and vibrant middle weight flavors possess a beguiling texture while offering very good depth and persistence. This is atypical but excellent in its fashion. Note as well that the supporting tannins are sufficiently fine that this could easily be enjoyed young. Outstanding—Allen Meadows, Burghound
