A solid wine that builds on the palate, with depth and length. Not the biggest wine, but I like the medium body and length - Jame Suckling
Liquorice, tobacco, coffee, slate, graphite, vanilla, cinnamon, crushed stone - all the mineral and slightly savoury elements on the palate giving this an immediate dark style though it's actually really appealing and marks a change from the very high acidity that is noticeable on many others. Not as fruit forward perhaps at this stage, the terroir and tannins more on show, but this feels well worked and I love the liquorice and slate aspect at the end. Tasted twice. - Georgina Hindle, Decanter
The 2021 Clos des Jacobins is a pretty, mid-weight Saint-Émilion. Bright red cherry fruit, cedar, spice, tobacco and blood orange lend quite a bit of energy throughout. Pretty floral top notes reappear on the finish. This is nicely done. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
