A strong performance from the Côtes de Castillon, the 2021 Clos Puy Arnaud is a blend of 50% Cabernet Franc, 45% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Revealing aromas of dark cherries, cassis, sweet soil tones and spices, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and lively, with tangy acids and a long, saline finish. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
The 2021 Clos Puy Arnaud has a backward nose of blackberry and cassis fruit, just slightly stilted compared to others. The palate is medium-bodied with stringy tannins and a little chewy, leading to a muscular finish. Not bad, but it lacks a bit of finesse. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media
A blend of 50% Cabernet Franc, 45% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2021 Clos Puy Arnaud is deep garnet-purple in color. It storms out with notes of baked plums, fruitcake, and Indian spices with touches of tobacco and dusty soil. Medium-bodied, the palate is chewy, with herbal accents to the plummy flavors, finishing savory. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Independant
