Tasting note: The most elegant wine of the range with a floral and airy nose of extract of red pinot fruit and wet stone that can also be found on the silky and round middle weight flavors that are balanced, refined and strikingly persistent. Like all of the Lafon '07s, the tannins here are quite fine and this should mature over the next decade but last for years. I quite like this and while it's lovely, it's not necessarily more interesting than the Champans, which is rare chez Lafon. Outstanding. Drink 2017+ -Allen Meadows, Burghound
