Tasting note: Just as was the case with this wine in 750 ml format (see herein), there is absolutely no bricking to the deep ruby color. This is still almost completely primary with only a touch of secondary to the very ripe yet fresh aromas of dark berry fruit, earth, spice and violet scents. There is outstanding concentration to the intense, precise and notably mineral-suffused medium weight plus flavors that pack ample power and punch on the very firm and impressively lingering finish. This is still the better part of 10 years away from its peak and will certainly last much longer. In sum, ample patience required, even at more than 25+ years of age. In a word, brilliant.
