A serious investment programme has been carried out at de Sales in recent years. and they have produced an enjoyable supple and subtle wine in a corner of Pomerol that struggled with full ripeness in 2021. Earthy raspberry leaf notes meet gentle red cherry and white pepper, touches of lemongrass and mandarin as it stretches out through the palate, and a moreish finish. - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux.
