Pale lemon-yellow in color, the 2021 Doisy Daene is a little closed to begin, offering notes of truffles and wild fungi over a core of apple tart, poached pears, and nutmeg, plus a waft of grapefruit oil. Wildflower notes with green apple and lime zest on the nose. Freshness and livelines on the palate, this has an immediate appeal in terms of being bright and playful as well as having that core of caramelised oranges, dried yellow raisins, yellow plums, crunchy green apple and lemon zest.
