Richly concentrated and velvety in texture, the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape La Reine des Bois is a full-bodied blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, 5% Syrah and 5% split between Vaccarese and Counoise. While it's not the greatest vintage of this wine, it's still terrific, marrying plummy, black cherry fruit with a dusting of baking spices and Provençal herbs, finishing long and plush. - Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate
The 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Reine des Bois from Domaine de La Mordoree is solid in the vintage. A blend of 75% Grenache, 14% Mourvèdre and the rest Syrah, Vaccarèse and Counoise, aged in 25% new barrels, it offers the classic darker styled fruits of this cuvée, with lots of blackberry, currants, toasted spice, graphite, and licorice all emerging from the glass. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a supple, elegant style, it's already drinking beautifully, yet should evolve gracefully. This is one of the more elegant, mid-weight examples of this cuvée produced yet it will still keep for 10-12 years. - Jeb Dunnuck (formerly Wine Advocate)
