The 2015 Corton Grand Cru Greves is a very impressive wine, built for the long haul, offering up a brooding nose of dark berries, forest floor and espresso roast. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and deep, with a rich chassis of tannin and almost chewy concentration, underpinned by good acids. Patience will be required while the tannins melt, but this will develop into an excellent Corton in the fullness of time.—William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
Tasting note: This is also markedly ripe yet the liqueur-like aromas of plum, earth and the sauvage remain quite fresh. As is usually the case this is bigger, richer and more powerful than the Vigne au Saint to the overtly muscular broad-shouldered flavors that conclude in a firm and velvety finish that is very Corton in style. Patience required. Sweet Spot. –Allen Meadows, Burghound
