A dense purple colour. The bouquet is beautiful, very lifted, sensual with violets, as well as savoury strawberries, this is very complete with a depth of properly ripe, yet agreeably strict fruit, the stem element perfectly woven in. The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Combottes 1er Cru is one of Dujac's strongest cards, and in this vintage, there's no change there. It has a beautifully defined bouquet with mineral-rich red fruit, subtle iris flower scents and a hint of sous-bois. It has more energy than an over-excited puppy. The palate is medium-bodied with a well-knit opening, harmonious with white pepper and clove-infused black fruit. It has fine backbone, precise and edgy on the finish that lingers long in the mouth. The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes opens in the glass with aromas of orange zest, peonies and spices complemented by deep bass notes of plum and cherry.
