Tasted blind, the 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaut Saint-Jacques also put in a terrific performance, bursting with notes of raspberries, peony, sweet forest floor and grilled squab. On the palate, the wine is supple, medium to full-bodied and elegant, with wonderful purity, succulent acids and a long, fragrant finish. It's a classy, even subtle Lavaut Saint-Jacques, but there's plenty of sneaky substance here too. Neal Martin – The Wine Advocate
