Pale straw. Pungent aromas of lime, lemongrass and passion fruit. Thicker and seemingly riper than the bracing 2012 version, displaying terrific sappy density to the flavors of lemon drop and green melon. Finishes saline and gripping, with sneaky length, mouthwatering acidity and no hardness. More Pouilly-Fum' than New Zealand in style, but this fascinating, ripe sauvignon is uniquely its own animal.
