The 2020 Monzingen Riesling trocken Frühtau comes from younger vines in the Frühlingsplätzchen and opens with a clear, fine and reductive bouquet with coolish stony and herbal notes. Crystalline and very elegant on the palate, this is a tight, straight and still challenging, very mineral dry Riesling that will benefit from longer bottle aging. The finish is long and enormously salty. A wine to keep. 12.5% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in July 2021. - SR, Wine Advocate

Very racy and mineral, this has so much wild berry fruit, leaping and bounding across the palate. So much lime and herbal freshness at the finish. Drink or hold. - James Suckling

Complete with lime fruit flavours and real extract on the palate. You could enjoy this salivatory wine already but it will surely develop even more nuance in bottle. This would make a great aperitif – really gets the appetite going! Tastes drier than many of the trockens from this address. - Jancis Robinson
