The 2011 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru has a candied bouquet with touches of orange zest, more red-fruit character and incense that is very refined. The palate is well-balanced with fine earthy finish that lingers long in the mouth. Like the 2012, it is here that Domaine d’Eugenie really excels. - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate
(25% vendange entier): Good bright red with ruby tones. Precise aromas of black cherry, licorice and herbs. Spicy and penetrating on the palate; a bit strict but oers a great combination of sweetness and minerality. At once classy and powerful, nishing with a lingering element of saline minerality and rm, noble tannins that saturate the entire mouth. - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media
A brooding and very reserved but highly complex nose features notes of dried flowers, kirsch, plum and plenty of pungent earth. The highly textured, intense and concentrated big-bodied flavors also exhibit the same very fine tannins as the rest of the range with a hugely long finish that is less austere than is typical. This well-balanced effort should amply reward mid to even longer-term cellaring though 12 to 15 years should see it at its best. - Allen Meadows, Burghound
An energetic wine with layers of flavours including blackberries, sweet spices and minerals. Lovely texture – fine, focused, precise. Well integrated new oak with a fairly long finish. - JCL, Decanter
Rather deeper crimson than most. Mealy, biscuit notes on the nose – unusual! Sweet start and gentle tannins with sufficient acidity. Quite forward but delicate rather than heavy-handed. Now a charmer!-Jancis Robinson
