Figeac 2010: 98 JS / Palmer 2005: 98 VM / Leoville Las Cases 2000: 100 JS
A unique mixed case gathering three emblematic estates of Bordeaux. This very special and limited case features three legendary vintages/wines: 2000 Leoville Las Cases, 2005 Palmer and 2010 Figeac. Only 1500 cases of 3 bottles (750ml) and 330 cases of 3 magnums (1.5L) were made in total.
Figeac 2010: 98 JS
Intense aromas of wet earth, leaves, sweet berries and cinnamon follow through to a full body, velvety and dense tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Opulent style. Just opening now, but this shows lots of stuffing, even if it does tighten down on the palate. Integrated and fine. Drink or hold. - James Suckling
Palmer 2005: 98 VM
The 2005 Palmer has been absolutely magical both times I have tasted it recently. Still wonderfully deep to the core, the 2005 is dense, packed to the core and luxuriously opulent. Even with all of that intensity, the 2005 remains vibrant. Lush red/purplish berry fruit, rose petal, lavender and sweet spice build into the towering finish. The 2005 is an epic wine that will have no problem reaching its fiftieth birthday. It is a rich, dramatic Margaux that checks all the boxes, and then some. I rated a second bottle even higher. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
Leoville Las Cases 2000: 100 JS
This is a classic Las Cases, with masses of mineral, floral, and blueberry character. Full and chewy, with so much power. Please don’t touch this for another seven to nine years. Otherwise decant this for two hours. - James Suckling
