Pale lemon-gold in color, the 2020 Filhot opens with fragrant notions of musk perfume, acacia honey and paraffin wax, over a core of white peaches, poached pears and spice cake. The 2020 Filhot has a simple bouquet of lemon sherbet, nectarine and hints of marmalade – as usual, lighter in style than other Sauternes. The palate is balanced with a viscous opening.
