Tasting note: This is notably ripe but there is good freshness to the mix of various red berries and earth aromas. There is better delineation to the medium weight flavors that conclude in a complex if warm, austere and overtly rustic finale. This too will need a few years of age. Allen Meadows - Burghound
(14% alcohol, as some of these grapes began to desiccate on the vine owing to drought): Good medium red. Darker on the nose than the village Morey, offering aromas of cassis and black cherry. Then suaver and silkier in the mouth, showing good fruit sweetness and minerality with surprising harmonious acidity. Finishes with suave tannins and good length. Nice depth there, not to mention full phenolic ripeness at a high alcohol level. Stephen Tanzer – Vinous Media
