Gentle and sweeter smelling than the Charmes. Again that purity, here allied with much greater density on the palate. Fine structure, tannins more marked but not dominant. Very long. --Julia Harding MW, Jancis Robinson
Tasting note: A stunningly elegant and highly perfumed mix of red currant, spice and blue pinot fruit gives way to intensely mineral-driven, delicious, round and supple medium weight flavors that possess moderately firm tannins and excellent balance on the solidly lasting finish. Classy juice and I especially like the gorgeous texture that is so seductive that renders this already approachable though I would advise holding it at least another few years first.—Allen Meadows, Burghound
