Tasting note: A more complex and much more floral-inflected nose reveals notes of citrus peel, spice, green apple and a whiff of oak toast. The denser if still quite seductively textured middle weight flavors possess an abundance of sappy dry extract that coats the palate on the lingering and equally complex finale. This isn't as elegant as it usually is but even so it offers fine quality for a villages level wine. Outstanding – Top Value – Allen Meadows – Burghound
The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Village is brighter and more precise than its rich, gourmand Chassagne counterpart, wafting from the glass with aromas of waxy citrus rind, smoke and white flowers. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, pure and racy, with bright acids, elegantly glossy texture and a nicely defined finish. William Kelley - Burghound
