Delivers a deep well of balanced black cherry, plum, licorice, tar, sandalwood and toasty oak flavors, with dense structure and supple texture. A wonderfully fresh, cool and airy nose features scents of black cherry and newly turned earth with a floral top note that are trimmed in subtle but not imperceptible wood. There is fine mid-palate density and minerality to the delicious, intense and serious flavors that are shaped by a firm tannic spine on the overtly mineral-driven finish that makes clear that this will require at least a few years of cellaring.
