The 2011 Gazin has a lovely, open and generous bouquet with red berry fruit, pencil shavings, smoke and autumn bonfire. Yes, something very October-ish about the aromatics! The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, a little chewy, not quite as pliant or as complex as the '11 Trotanoy, though there is admirable substance on the finish.
