Clos de Bussière lies just down the hill from the Clos de Tart, close to the border with Chambolle-Musigny. Fermented with 50% whole bunches, which is high for Christophe Roumier, this plush, textured, sensuous Pinot Noir may not make old bones, but it has wonderful sweetness, velvety tannins and a spicy, refreshing finish. - Tim Atkin MW, Decanter

The 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos de la Bussière 1er Cru offers blackberry, briar and crushed stone aromas on the nose, which is nicely focused but not powerful. The palate is built around chalky tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Very focused and fresh, with an almost sorbet-like finish. Roumier said this was the first to be picked and when he analyzed the must, the pH was 3.16 and he thought the laboratory had made an error. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media

The 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos de la Bussière has turned out very well this year, revealing lovely aromas of cherries, raspberries, rose petals and cinnamon, competed by rich soil tones and subtle carnal nuances. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, powdery and succulent, with a deep, tight-knit core and impressive freshness for the vintage, concluding with a chalky finish. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

Here too the expressive nose is fresh, ripe and equally cool with its combination of cassis, black raspberry and newly turned earth scents. The racy, intense and nicely voluminous medium-bodied flavors aren't as fine but there's a bit more depth on the firm, moderately robust and ever-so-slightly warm finale. - Allen Meadows, Burghound
