5 Star Wine. Lovely vibrant dark purple. The bouquet is spectacular, brilliantly gorgeously lifted, with a sensual charm yet kept uplifted by the whole bunches which are entirely in support rather than dominating. Just so elegant with alpine strawberries and a long perfumed floral finish. Tasted: November 2021.-Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy

The 2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a beautifully-defined bouquet with crystalline red fruit, crushed stone and light sous-bois scents, just the essence of Pinoté. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, a mixture of red and black fruit, white pepper and spices towards quite a livewire finish. Plenty of energy here. What a wonderful Echézeaux in the making-Neal Martin, Vinous Media

The fruit is partially destemmed and gently fermented to produce this lovely, super-expressive wine, with pronounced strawberry and currant aromas which show lots of spice and floral notes. The texture is approachable and supple - not at all forbidding - and it has lovely length. Very successful. Pascal Mugneret farms 0.64ha of vines in métayage for his cousins at Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg, all in the lieu-dit Quartier de Nuits.-Charles Curtis MW, Decanter

Aromas of wild berries, rose petals, exotic spices and sweet soil tones, framed by a deft touch of classy new oak, preface the 2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru, a full-bodied, rich and concentrated wine that's deep and layered, with lively acids and ample reserves of ripe, chewy tannins. Concluding with a long, expansive finish, it's the fruit of a sharecropping agreement with Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg in lieu-dit Quartiers de Nuits.-William Kelley, The Wine Advocate

Absolutely cracking, with depth and ripeness. It’s red-fruited, with some generous but refined tannins. There’s real concentration and drive. Great energy.-Matthew Hayes, JancisRobinson
