Opting to reimagine the domaine's Passetoutgrain, an appellation whose pejorative connotations he dislikes, Mugneret has produced the 2019 Vin de France Pourpre, a blend of Gamay and Pinot Noir that bursts with aromas of juicy cherries, berries and petals. Medium-bodied, bright and lively, with a fleshy core of fruit and youthfully chewy tannins, this offers plenty of hearty charm.—William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
The 2019 Bourgogne Rouge comes from vines located in Vosne-Romanée. It has a well-defined bouquet of vibrant red cherry and cassis fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with good substance, fine grip and slightly tarry red fruit on the finish. This is a commendable regional red.—Neal Martin, Vinous Media
