The 2021 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Brûlées wafts from the glass with aromas of dark wild berries, spices, orange zest and gunpowder. Medium to full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it's deep and enveloping, with a layered core of fruit, powdery tannins and a long, spice-inflected finish.-William Kelley, The Wine Advocate

This has been racked and returned to barrel. Mid purple with more depth. The nose a little chunkier than the ethereal Suchots, with plenty of red fruit but less graceful. Seems slightly less well-nourished on the palate, a good wine but not jumping out this year on today’s showing. Drink from 2027-2034. Tasted: November 2022.-Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
