Tasting note: Appealingly spiced aromas of plum, black cherry, violet and exotic tea introduce sleek, delicious and mineral-driven middle weight flavors that are notably finer than those of the Gruenchers if less powerful. I very much like the texture of the impressively long and well-balanced finale and this too should age effortlessly for a decade or more. Excellent. Sweet Spot. Outstanding. --Allen Meadows, Burghound
The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes wafts from the glass with aromas of sweet raspberries, cherries and red fruit compote mingled with rose petals and spices. Medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, with a cool core of pure, vibrant fruit, melting tannins and a saline finish, it has turned out beautifully.—William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru has a more backward nose than its peers. It offers darker fruit, and hints of struck flint and graphite tincture the aromatics. Maybe just a bit more whole bunches here? The palate is well-balanced with fine tannins and very well-judged natural acidity. It has a lovely, harmonious, silky texture and delivers the roundness and sensuality you seek in a Chambolle. Excellent. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting-Neal Martin, Vinous Media
