Unwinding in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, cherries, potpourri and rose petals, the 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées is medium to full-bodied, supple and vibrant, with excellent concentration, refined tannins and a long, youthfully firm finish. It's a terrific wine, but it will require patience.—William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
Note: from a .26 ha parcel of 70+ year old vines near Bonnes Mares; from yields of only 12 hl/ha in 2020
Tasting note: Notably ripe and very fresh if timid aromas include those of red and black raspberry coulis along with an interesting hint of something akin to tangerine peel. There is remarkably good density to the gorgeously textured medium weight flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract before terminating in a tautly muscular, youthfully austere and mineral-driven finish that also goes on and on. This equally serious and stunning effort possesses superb development potential and should also age accordingly. Sweet Spot, Outstanding.—Allen Meadows, Burghound
