The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Véroilles is showing beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of cassis, blackberries, warm spices and a subtle framing of new wood. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a richly structured and tight-knit core, a bright line of acidity and a long, mineral finish. Along with the Cras, this gets my nod as likely Barthod's longest-lived wine of the vintage. William Kelley – The Wine Advocate
Tasting note: An admirably pure nose displays aromas of black cherry, spice, lavender and rose petal aromas. The caressing and strikingly well detailed middle weight flavors are impressively rich yet precise and this too evidences plenty of minerality on the powerful, sappy and palate coating backend. While this is presently not quite as complex or structured as the Fuées, it is nonetheless quite promising. Outstanding – Allen Meadows - Burghound
