Edges of aniseed right off the first moment, intense black fruits, muscular and bristling tannins, with ripe fig and rosemary herbs. Good quality, intense, not quite the lift through the palate to take things up a gear, but plenty to enjoy. Bursting with aromas of dark berries, plums and violets, the 2022 Grand Corbin is a medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy wine that's broad, supple and seamless. A blend of 90% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, it exhibits unusual mid-palate depth this year and may merit a higher score in bottle. - Willaim Kelley, Wine Advocate
