The 2018 Château Haut-Maillet is a medium to full-bodied, fresh, and lively Pomerol that gives up lots of plum, cassis, and black cherry fruit as well as a big floral character. A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, it comes together nicely on the palate and has integrated acidity and fine tannins as well as pretty, seamless style that’s going to drink well with just short-term cellaring. - Jeb Dunnuck
