Tasting note: There is ample Chablis typicity present on the still agreeably fresh nose of pear, apple, white flower, lemon rind and discreet ocean breeze nuances. The medium-bodied flavors possess impressive size, weight and richness as well as a lovely undelrying tension that becomes even more apparent on the bone dry but not really austere finish. Even at 6 years of age, this remains compact and very, very backward so i would strongly recommend continuing to allow it to slumber. This beauty is old school Preuses. From the top end which is not supposed to get frosted. 30% wood of which half new. Clear pure colour, very backward. This has superb density and a bit of the all enveloping soft wool character, yet with good acidity. Tasted: May 2018.--Jasper MOrris, Inside Burgundy
The 2017 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru is a dense, powerful wine. Time in the glass brings out a good deal of Preuses mineral and floral character. As always, the Preuses spends a year in oak and a year in tank. The first year imparts a level of power and richness that, in my view, masks some of the subtleties of Preuses . There is plenty of depth and nuance here, but I feel there could maybe have been even more. -Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
The 2017 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses exhibits aromas of Meyer lemon and white flowers, framed by creamy new oak. On the palate, it's full-bodied, rich and textural, with more weight than the other wines in the cellar, but with more cut, too. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
