The 2020 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru, which comprises of just two barrels this year, has a highly-perfumed and precise bouquet that is actually reminiscent of Christophe Roumier's Bonnes-Mares. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins that frame the multi-layered fruit. Fine grip, structured, saline and aristocratic on the finish. This will need time but will most certainly be worth the wait.--Neal Martin, Vinous Media
Tasting note: Slightly riper aromas of poached plum, black raspberry liqueur, anise, newly turned earth and smoky hints are trimmed in discreet oak nuances. As is usually the case, there is noticeably more size, weight and volume to the palate saturating, rich and powerful large-scaled flavors that flash evident muscle on the markedly more structured, dusty, youthfully austere and impressively persistent finale. While qualitatively similar to the Amoureuses, the two intrinsic characters couldn't be more disparate. Don't Miss. Allen Meadows, Burghound
