A depth of colour, and a delicious classic Chambolle nose for this favourite cuvée which delivers once again. Such a succulence of fruit, with all the elegance of Chambolle. Quite good length here too, to enjoy. Drink from 2026-2034. Tasted: November 2022.—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
Note: typically made from 6 or 7 different 1ers depending on whether the fruit from the parcel of Les Baudes is included
Tasting note: A more elegant and airier nose reflects a suggestion of exotic spice nuances, and in particular a wisp of jasmine tea, on the ripe yet cool aromas of mostly red berries. The precise and markedly stony medium weight flavors possess a highly refined texture thanks to the fine-grained, but dense, tannins shaping the dusty and youthfully austere finish. This will also need a few years of forbearance as it's presently quite compact. Ouststanding.—Allen Meadows, Burghound
