Tasting note: A strikingly floral nose is even more exotic with its panoply of essence of red cherry, Asian tea, ginger, hoisin and clove. The gorgeously refined and almost painfully intense medium-bodied flavors possess the hallmark minerality of a fine Amoureuses while displaying superb length on the balanced finale. The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru blossoms in the glass: black cherries, blueberry, hints of date and pressed flowers and quite exuberant. It gains intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with firmer tannins than the aromatics imply, solid and quite structured with decent depth on the finish.
